Thanks for exposing scam

Editor, Ceres Courier,

Thank you for recognizing the Power Ball scam for what is was - a scam - in your July 20 column of "You never know where the next scam will pop up."

From the other side, probably in Nigeria, comes this: "I won $250,000.00 from the 2016 PowerBall Jackpot in conjunction with Alliance for Retired Americans (ARA) and I saw your name when they came for my delivery. Did you receive yours yet?"

The Alliance for Retired Americans is a nonprofit organization working to ensure social and economic justice and full civil rights for all citizens so that they may enjoy lives of dignity, personal and family fulfillment and security. Our issues are Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and other issues that affect senior citizens.

Thank you again for your vigilance and for exposing this scam.
