Wigt spells out goals for CUSD
Letters

Editor, Ceres Courier,

My name is Valli Wigt, and I’m running for Ceres Unified School Board of Trustees Area 3. I’ve lived in the Westport area over 40 years with my husband Pete and our two sons. For 34 years I taught in Ceres and Oakdale, teaching classes from K-6 grade. I was a mentor teacher, master teacher, teacher in charge, CUTA rep, “Ag in the Classroom” ambassador, music chaperone, football mom, and School-to-Career coordinator. I organized “career days” at my school sites for 20 years.

I wanted to join the Board of Trustees to continue serving students and our community. As an incumbent, I look forward to our first “normal” year since the pandemic. I would like to continue with social emotional programs, build on attendance rates and parent engagement, academic/vocational opportunities, and higher graduation rates. I want to follow through on the Ric Campero Performing Arts Center, the new pool at Central Valley High School and constructing a stadium at Central Valley High.

I love volunteering at school sites and attending school events. I hope I have earned your trust over the time I have represented the Westport area. Please vote Valli Wigt for CUSD trustee. Thank you.

Valli Wigt,

President,

CUSD Board of Trustees
