To signal the beginning of the Ceres Relay for Life 2012 season, a special Kick Off Event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24.
The special meeting - open to the public - will take place at the Central Valley Christian Academy located at 2020 Academy Place in Ceres (off of Central Avenue near Hatch Road).
Special information will be given about forming teams, signing up to participate in next year's event and services provided to cancer patients and their families.
The Ceres Relay for Life, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, will take place on Saturday, April 28 at Ceres High School's athletic stadium.
