Prep golfer Anthony Bonales was awarded 48 points after posting three top-six finishes in a span of a week.

The Central Valley High School junior-to-be added to his JGANC points total.

He ranked third in Boys 16-17 Performance Points Tabulation (144) and ninth in the Team Points-Boys 14-17 standings (88) as of Monday.

"It's very important to me because I want to be at the top of those charts," Bonales said. "It's something college coaches look at. It's a good thing to put on a resume."

Anthony fired a 3-over-par 75 while tying for fifth place at the Oakdale Rotary Junior Classic on July 16.

He took fourth (75-71-146) at the George Maroney Junior Tournament, which was staged July 17-18 at Creekside Golf Club.

Anthony tied for sixth at the Ty Caplin Memorial on July 23 at Elkhorn Country Club. He shot a 75.

Bonales has competed in nine tournaments during the 2012 JGANC season.

He's placed first three times, and third, fourth, fifth and sixth once.

"I've been playing pretty solid," Bonales said.
