The Ceres Seahawks held their 13th annual youth football skills camp on July 20 at Blaker-Kinser Jr. High.
About 60 boys, aged 6-14, attended the one-day clinic.
“It was a fun day for everybody,” said Willie Solorio, seventh-year president. “We were getting the kids ready for the season.”
The Seahawks also staged a Punt, Pass & Kick competition during the camp, which started at 9 a.m. and ended at 2 p.m.
Trophies were awarded to first-place winners.
“That’s what the kids look forward to the most,” Solorio said.
Luis Ochoa (varsity) Amir Drakeford (junior varsity), Jose Ortiz III (novice) and Abel Huerta (junior novice) finished first in their respective age groups.
Drakeford defended his JV title.
Pizza, Capri Suns and water were provided to campers at the end of the clinic.
A dunk-tank booth was also set up, along with an inflatable jousting jumping house.
