Dolphins open 2015 season with third-place finish at Tracy Invitational
Five Ceres athletes win High-Point trophies

The Ceres Dolphins recreational swim club opened the 2015 season with a third-place showing at the Tracy Invitational last month.

The five-team meet was staged, May 23-24, at West High School.

"I'm really happy," head coach Tracy Bull said. "We had some great performances. We broke seven records and set six records."

Ceres racked up 999 points in the overall standings.

The Turlock Sea Dogs (1,098) won the team title, while the Ripon Sea Lions (1,0671/2) finished in second place.

The Tracy Tritons (8141/2) and Manteca Dolphins (442) took fourth and fifth, respectively.

"We won the girls side of the meet by 70-plus points," Bull said. "Our boys placed third."

Zachary Jones (17-18 boys), Julia Pata (15-16 girls), Reuven Denton (15-16 boys), Kaydence Bispo (7-8 girls) and Leilani Olanolan (6&under girls) were awarded High-Point trophies for their overall dominance.

Individual
17-18 boys
Zachary Jones placed first in the 50 free and 100 free, second in the 100 back, 100 IM and 100 breast, and third in the 100 fly.

Colin Ramos placed eighth in the 50 free, 100 IM and 100 fly, ninth in the 100 free and 100 breast, and 10th in the 100 back.

17-18 girls
Annie Connors placed third in the 50 free and 100 free, fourth in the 50 fly, sixth in the 100 IM and seventh in the 50 breast.

Marysa Duncan placed seventh in the 50 back, eighth in the 50 breast, 50 free and 100 IM, and 10th in the 100 free.

15-16 boys
Reuven Denton placed first in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly, second in the 100 back, fourth in the 100 IM and fifth in the 100 breast.

Bobby Baranski placed third in the 100 free and 100 fly, and ninth in the 100 back.

Logan Kier placed fourth in the 100 back, ninth in the 100 free, 100 IM and 100 breast, and 11th in the 100 fly and 50 free.

Tristan Freitas-Scott placed fifth in the 50 free, sixth in the 100 back, seventh in the 100 free, 10th in the 100 fly, and 11th in the 100 IM and 100 breast.

15-16 girls
Julia Pata placed first in the 100 IM, 100 free, 50 free, 50 breast and 50 fly, and second in the 50 back.

Ciana Sather placed fourth in the 100 free and 50 fly, fifth in 100 IM, 50 free and 50 back, and eighth in the 50 breast.

Taylore Bentley placed seventh in the 50 free, 10th in the 50 breast, 11th in the 50 fly, and 12th in the 100 free and 100 IM.

Gurpreet Singh placed eighth in the 50 back, ninth in the 100 free, 10th in the 50 free and 100 IM, 13th in the 50 breast and 14th in the 50 fly.

Agustin Leyva placed third in the 50 free and 100 free, fifth in the 50 breast, seventh in the 100 IM, 10th in the 100 back, and 11th in the 50 fly.

Elliott Lewis placed fourth in the 50 back, sixth in the 50 free and 100 free, seventh in the 50 breast, and eighth in the 100 IM.

Hannah Denton placed third in the 100 free, fourth in the 100 IM, 50 breast and 50 free, and ninth in the 50 fly and 50 back.

Camryn Silva placed fourth in the 50 fly, eighth in the 50 breast and 100 IM, ninth in the 50 free, 12th in the 100 free and 14th in the 50 back.

Camille Hartley placed sixth in the 50 breast, seventh in the 100 IM and 10th in the 50 free.

Carmen Mendoza placed seventh in the 50 back and 10th in the 50 fly.

Maddie Kidd placed eighth in the 50 free, ninth in the 100 free, 16th in the 100 IM, 21st in the 50 fly, 25th in the 50 breast and 28th in the 50 back.

Brett Hartley placed third in the 50 breast, eighth in the 100 IM and 10th in the 50 free.

Jacob Pfanenstiel placed fifth in the 100 IM and 50 free, sixth in the 50 breast and 50 fly, seventh in the 100 free, and 10th in the 50 back.

Jordan Browning placed fifth in the 50 fly, 11th in the 100 free and 12th in the 50 back.
