The Ceres High boys golf team was supposed to play Orestimba at the Diablo Grande Golf Resort in Patterson on Wednesday but the match was postponed due to poor weather.
The Bulldogs hoped to improve to 2-0 in non-league action.
Ceres won its first pre-season match on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Led by juniors Nick Wilcox and Jeff Warn, the Bulldogs defeated the Los Banos Tigers by 72 strokes, 197-269, at Modesto Municipal Golf Course.
Wilcox shot a 1-over-par 36. Warn fired a 3-over-par 38.
"Nick was the low medalist," said Ceres coach Butch Mendonca.
Ceres junior Chad Jantz, senior Ben Martinez and senior Adam Dusi carded a 40, 41 and 42, respectively.
Los Banos' Anthony Chambers, Brian Murphy, Greg Garcia, Ryan Amabile and Justin Lowe finished with a 44, 50, 57, 58 and 60, respectively.
Ceres plays its second Central California Conference match of the season at Modesto Muni tomorrow at 3 p.m.
The Bulldogs and the Johansen Vikings are expected to vie for the league championship this year.
"Johansen is probably the best team in the league," Mendonca said. "It will be a good match for us."
