Boosted by its talent and depth, Ceres High School's varsity swim program dominated from beginning to end during last week's Western Athletic Conference showdown with crosstown-rival Central Valley.

Ceres High's boys cruised to a 135-22 victory on Friday.

Zach Jones, Joseph Ochoa, Jacob Stone, Manuel Hernandez, Stefan Perry, Cody Azevedo, Mario Gonzalez, Erik Weststeyn, Bobby Baranski, Mark Piceno, Tino Amaya, Timothy Campbell, Abel Morales and Joshua Moita led the Bulldogs (4-1).

Competing in his first meet of the season for Ceres High, Jones placed first in the 200 individual medley (2:13.76) and 100 freestyle (52.76).

Zach posted a Sac-Joaquin Section qualifying time in the 200 IM.

"I don't want to be ineligible again," Jones said. "It was enjoyable watching my teammates swim but I wanted to be in the water. I was anxious to see if the work I put in at practice would pay off. I tried my best."

Ochoa placed first in the 50 free (26.46).

Stone placed first in the 100 fly (1:05.19).

Hernandez placed first in the 100 breast (1:17.94) and second in the 100 free (55.22).

Perry placed first in the 500 free (6:31.14) and second in the 100 breast (1:20.45).

Azevedo placed first in the 200 free (2:26.97) and second in the 100 back (1:19.20).

Gonzalez placed first in the 100 back (1:12.14) and fourth in the 50 free (27.78).

Weststeyn placed second in the 200 IM (2:42.00) and 100 fly (1:09.73).

Baranski placed second in the 50 free (26.75) and 500 free (7:10.17).
Piceno placed second in the 200 free (2:51.44).

Amaya placed third in the 200 free (2:54.23) and 100 back (1:42.69).

Campbell placed third in the 100 fly (1:36.94).

Morales placed third in the 100 free (1:17.31).

Moita placed third in the 200 IM (3:20.15) and fourth in the 100 breast (1:29.34).

Thomas Rogers, Kevin Martinez, Austin Bell, David Jimenez, Reshem Dosanjh, Jose Robles and Dominick Aguilar led the Hawks.
Rogers placed third in the 50 free (27.27) and 100 breast (1:27.94).

Martinez placed third in the 500 free (7:50.10) and fifth in the 50 free (29.48).

Bell placed fourth in the 100 free (1:21.47).

Jimenez placed fourth in the 200 IM (4:16.63) and sixth in the 100 breast (2:00.25).

Dosanjh placed fifth in the 100 free (1:23.31).

Robles placed fifth in the 100 breast (1:50.28) and sixth in the 50 free (32.31).

Aguilar placed sixth in the 100 free (1:33.06).
