Ceres High School's varsity girls swim team wrapped up the Western Athletic Conference dual-meet season with a 95-77 win over host Livingston on Thursday.

The Bulldogs compiled a 5-1 record on their way to a runner-up finish in the WAC standings.

"It's pretty exciting to see where we started and where we are now," coach Sue Garcia said.

Ceres High's 200 medley relay team of Cassie Hines, Katrina Castillo, Julia Pata and Kiera Brownlee finished first.

Ceres High's 200 free relay team of Pata, Annie Connors, Cassidy Hines and Lindsey Reedy finished first.

Ceres High's 400 free relay team of Connors, Castillo, Brownlee and Reedy finished first.

Pata finished first in the 200 free and 100 free.

She won all 12 of her individual races this year.

Reedy finished second in the 100 free.

Kaitlyn Foster finished second in the 100 fly.

Brownlee finished second in the 200 IM.

Jacklyn Lamb finished third in the 200 IM and 100 fly.
Ceres High's varsity obys swim team closed out the WAC regular season with a 95-79 loss at Livingston last week.

The Bulldogs (4-2) placed third in the dual-meet standings.

"We have a lot of first-year swimmers," Garcia said. "They're learning and working very hard."

Ceres High's 400 free relay team of Bobby Baranski, Stefan Perry, Erik Weststeyn and Zachary Jones finished first.

Ceres High's 200 free relay team of Nathan Stone, Connor Mills, Logan Kier and Timothy Campbell finished second.

Jones swept the 200 free and 100 free.

Erik Weststeyn finished first in the 100 fly and second in the 100 back.

Weststeyn had a perfect 6-0 record in the fly this year.

Timothy Campbell finished second in the 100 breast.

Connor Mills finished second in the 500 free.

Stefan Perry finished second in the 200 IM and third in the 500 free.

Hawks sixth in WAC
Central Valley's varsity boys and girls swim teams both finished in sixth place during the WAC dual-meet season.

Central Valley's boys squad dropped its WAC finale to undefeated Los Banos on the road last Thursday.

The Hawks compiled a 1-5 record.

Central Valley's Kevin Martinez placed second in the 200 IM and fourth in the 50 free.

Sergio Lopez placed third in the 100 free David Jimenez placed third in the 200 IM Edgar Cervantes placed third in the 100 back and fifth in the 50 free.

Oscar Esparza placed fourth in the 100 free.

Cesar Armas placed fourth in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 breast.

Jose Robles placed fourth in the 100 breast and sixth in the 50 free.

Isiah Zuniga placed fifth in the 100 back.

Francisco Orellana placed sixth in the 100 free.

Central Valley's girls team lost to first-place Los Banos this past week.

The visiting Hawks had a 1-5 record during WAC regular season.
Vanesa Hernandez placed third in the 50 free and 100 free.

Stephany Navarro placed third in the 200 IM and fourth in the 100 breast.

Ivonne Orozco placed fourth in the 100 back.

Simaran Dosanjh placed fourth in the 100 free and fifth in the 50 free.

Lisa Serna placed fourth in the 50 free and fifth in the 100 back.

Jessica Muci placed fifth in the 100 free.

Daisy Robles placed fifth in the 100 breast.

Ceres High and Central Valley will compete at the WAC Championships this Thursday at Pacheco High School. The meet will begin at 3 p.m.
