Stefan Perry, Jacob Stone, Mario Gonzalez, Damien Underwood, Erik Weststeyn, Bobby Baranski, Ethan Campbell and Joshua Moita helped lead Ceres High School's varsity boys swimming team to its second win of the Western Athletic Conference dual-meet season on March 28.

The Bulldogs improved to 2-1 on the year after topping Pacheco 97-65 on March 28 in Los Banos.

Perry swept the 200 IM (2:38.96) and 500 free (6:29.23).
Stone took first in the 100 fly (1:01.71) and second in the 50 free (26.93).

Gonzalez took first in the 100 free (1:01.67) and second in the 100 back (1:15.22).

Underwood took second in the 200 IM (2:43.81) and 500 free (7:35.33).

Weststeyn took second in the 100 fly (1:08.86) and third in the 100 back (1:17.52).

Baranski took second in the 100 breast (1:26.79) and third in the 50 free (28.14).

Campbell took second in the 200 free (2:40.41) and fifth in the 50 free (31.16).

Moita took third in the 100 breast (1:30.82) and fourth in the 200 IM (3:26.11).

Pacheco 102, CHS 68
Ceres High School's varsity girls swimming team dropped to 1-2 in the WAC dual-meet standings after losing 102-68 to the Panthers.

Haley Fisicaro took first in the 100 fly (1:06.01) and second in the 100 free (59.90).

Cassidy Hines took second in the 200 free (2:53.57) and 100 breast (1:25.79).

Karli Gleason took second in the 100 back (1:33.69) and third in the 200 free (2:50).

Haley Hoback took third in the 500 free (7:30.39) and fourth in the 100 breast (1:40.19).

Abby Schmidt took third in the 50 free (33.61) and fourth in the 200 free (2:57.41).

Briona Schneider took third in the 100 breast (1:37.50) and fourth in the 50 free (34.89).

Hawks swept by Tigers
Central Valley's varsity girls swimming team dropped to 0-3 in the WAC following its 101-48 loss to Patterson on March 27 in Ceres.

The visiting Tigers racked up more points in 10 of the 11 events, excluding the 100 breast.

"They had more swimmers than us," Central Valley head coach Sarah Willems said.

Savanna Alvear finished first in the 200 IM (2:50.38) and 100 back (1:17.44).

Eve Bratenas finished first in the 100 breast (1:41.30).
Victoria Navarro finished second in the 200 free (3:00.82).

Marissa Ortega finished third in the 100 free (1:23.16).
Jessica Muci finished third in the 50 free (39.53).
Kayla Lourenco finished fourth in the 50 free (41.29).
Simaran Dosanjh finished fourth in the 100 free (1:26.22).
Brittany Navarro finished fourth in the 100 breast (3:04.84).

Central Valley's varsity boys swimming team trailed from start to finish in losing 123-33 to visiting Los Banos on March 27.

Thomas Rogers placed second in the 100 breast (1:26.44) and 50 free (27.37).

Andrew Serratos placed third in the 500 free (8:20.56).
Cameron Tucker placed third in the 100 back (1:39.78) and fourth in the 200 IM (3:25).

Kevin Martinez placed fourth in the 50 free (30.72) and 100 free (1:13.50).

David Jimenez placed fifth in the 200 IM (4:08.21).
