Enoc Reyes led Central Valley. He took 22nd with a time of 19 minutes, 8 seconds on the 3-mile course.
Frankie Klino (19:22), Jayden Pires (19:42), Carlos Castaneda (19:53) and Alejandro Rodriguez (20:53) finished 26th, 31st, 32nd and 42nd, respectively, while contributing the Hawks’ point total.
Sergio Torres led Ceres High. He took 12th (17:59).
Nickolas Albiani (20:12), Anthony Savala Alvarez (21:11), Elija Villamarin (22:01) and Christian Valadez (23:57) finished 35th, 45th, 51st and 55th, respectively, while contributing to the Bulldogs’ point total.
Central Valley edged Ceres High by just five points, 142-147, during the WAC’s second cluster meet on Oct. 1 at Ceres River Bluff Regional Park.
Reyes paced the Hawks. He took 18th (18:51) on the 3.1-mile course.
Castaneda (19:06), Klino (19:15), Pires (19:52) and Jayden Rodriguez (20:29) placed 26th, 30th, 37th and 47th, respectively.
Torres paced the Bulldogs. He took 15th (18:28).
Andres Marcial (19:01), Nickolas Albiani (19:50), Josiah Martinez-Gontiz (20:04) and Elijah Villamarin (21:00) placed 21st, 35th, 41st and 50th, respectively.
Girls Volleyball
The Bulldogs have won seven of their last eight matches against the Hawks dating back to the 2019 season.
