Central Valley High School's varsity girls cross country team broke into the Western Athletic Conference dual-meet win column last week.
The Hawks coasted to a 25-38 victory while competing against the Pacheco Panthers on Wednesday in Los Banos.
Central Valley had five runners finish in the top eight.
Vanesa Contreras led the Hawks with a second-place finish. She completed the 3.1-mile race in 24 minutes, 57 seconds.
Dana Miranda (25:26), Ramandeep Kaur (25:27), Emily Curiel (27:00) and Aryanna Jimenez (27:34) took fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth, respectively.
Haley Merrell (first, 23:25), Rana Arrocena (third, 25:22), America Quintero (seventh, 27:16), Ruby Ante (13th, 28:35) and Eloisa Valencia (14th, 29:03) contributed to Pacheco's point total.
Panthers 23, Hawks 32
Central Valley's varsity boys cross country team dropped to 0-3 in the WAC dual-meet standings after losing 23-32 to host Pacheco last week.
Chase Bogart led the Hawks with a third-place showing. Bogart finished the 3.1-mile race in 19 minutes, 35 seconds.
Enrique Martinez (20:10), Sebastian Pena (20:55), Aaron Vander Wal (20:55) and Alonzo Bustos (21:05) took fifth, seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively.
The Panthers had four runners place in the top six. Micheal Buchanan (19:17), Erubey Martinez (19:30), Benjamin Osorio (19:50) and Raymond Valenica (20:15) finished first, second, fourth and sixth, respectively.
