Ceres High's freshman girls basketball team rallied for a 35-34 win at Central Valley on Jan. 23.

The Bulldogs closed out the Western Athletic Conference season with a resounding 41-22 victory over the crosstown-rival Hawks on Feb. 8 at Phil de la Porte Gymnasium.

Ceres High's Catryna Marquez led all scorers with 18 points.

She totaled 22 points during the first game.

Bulldog teammate Jada Renderos added 12 points.

Tatiana De Los Reyes and Dajanae Desmond collected six and five points, respectively.

Gabriela Mejia tallied a team-high six points for Central Valley.

Leslie Alonso and Janae Correa both contributed four points.

Jordynn Cushenberry chipped in with three points.

Sayra Olivares and Willow Vanderheiden netted two points each.

Bandna Bhatti had one point.

The Bulldogs never looked back after storming out to a 26-12 lead in the opening half.

Ceres High limited Central Valley to 10 points during the final 16 minutes.

The Bulldogs (8-2) and Hawks (3-7) placed second and fourth, respectively, in the WAC standings.
