Mae Hensley Jr. High's seventh-grade softball team showed no mercy while achieving perfection this spring.

The Lady Warriors won all seven of their games.

Mae Hensley beat Turlock, Dutcher and Hilmar twice, and crosstown-rival Blaker-Kinser once.

The Lady Warriors outscored their opponents, 131-3.

"It's not a recreational league," Lady Warriors head coach Dustin Farnam said. "This is their introduction to school athletics."

Mae Hensley's roster was loaded with experience,

Jessica Arreola, Sabrina Baisdon, Nicole Bates, Kaytlin Donaldson, Kindra Hackbarth, Maddi Hackbarth and Arianna Alderete play the sport year-round.

"I could put my team out there and not have to worry because they knew what to do," Farnam said. "That made my job easier. The opposing fans dreaded playing us. Talent-wise, this team could probably compete with some varsity high-school teams."

Five different girls pitched for the Lady Warriors this season, including Alderete, Donaldson, Kindra Hackbarth, Miranda Vasquez and Bryana Lopez.

Guadalupe Martinez, Savanah Beltran, Katrina Rodriguez and Stephanie Garcia were also on the team.

Mae Hensley's seventh-grade girls also excelled in other sports during the 2010-11 school year. The Lady Warriors went undefeated in volleyball and suffered just one loss in basketball.

"If they were to stay together in high school, they'd be dominant," Farnam said.
