Central Valley’s competitive stunt cheer team made school history during its third year of existence.

The 2024-25 Hawks accomplished three firsts by winning a league title, home playoff match and playoff contest.

Central Valley also set a program record for victories in a season.

“Experiencing the satisfaction of these accomplishments is definitely a powerful motivator to continue striving for greater things with CV Stunt,” head coach Erika Guillory stated. “The positive reinforcement of success has only encouraged and inspired the future growth in CV Stunt.”

The Hawks compiled an 11-1 overall record, finished first in the Valley Oak League with a perfect 8-0 mark and qualified for the Sac-Joaquin Section Division-II playoffs.

Sixth-seeded Central Valley topped the 11th-seeded Union Mine Diamondbacks 20-8 in the opening round of the playoffs on April 29 in Ceres.

The Hawks lost 15-0 to the third-seeded/section-finalist Roseville Tigers in the quarterfinals on May 2 at Galt High School.

Central Valley collected wins against East Union (19-9, 20-10, 18-10), Lathrop (16-8, 20-6),  Mountain House (16-8, 20-4) and Ceres High (24-10) during VOL play.

The Hawks improved their head-to-head record versus the crosstown-rival Bulldogs to 3-0 since both schools fielded stunt cheer teams in 2023.

Central Valley topped Ceres High 18-7 in 2024 and 16-2 during its inaugural season.

“This year’s team was eager to learn and grow,” Guillory said. “The keys to success were a combination of hard work, positive attitude, strong skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Most of all having fun with confidence. This team enjoyed what they were doing and that made a huge impact on their playing.”

Central Valley’s stunt cheer squad had a roster size of 40.

The following student-athletes earned spots on the team: Elizabeth Abarca (Sr.), Yazmin Barajas (Sr.), Sofia Botero (Sr.), Evelyn Gomez (Sr.), Janet Moreira Martinez (Sr.), Ariyana Muriset Ordorica (Sr.), Mariah Pawlovich Sanders (Sr.), Valeria Torres Aleman (Sr.), Itzel Gonzalez (Jr.), Keidis Jauregui (Jr.), Miriam Macias (Jr.), Katey Paz-Huerta (Jr.), Kailani Ramirez (Jr.), Kaily Reyes (Jr.), Aaliyah Smith (Jr.), Lailah Zuniga (Jr.), Allyana Balancio (So.), Valeeya Carr (So.), Annabelle Gomez Servin (So.), Caleigh Green (So.), Stephanie Lopez Murillo (So.), Lacey McClain (So.), Mariana Mendez Soto (So.), Aaliyah Muriset (So.), Zoe Perez (So.), Viviana Ramirez (So.), Thaliah Robertson (So.), Layla Van Dunk (So.), Brynn Wallick (So.), Nailea Yepez (So.), Samantha Bullock (Fr.), Yadira Escorcia (Fr.), Savannah Garcia (Fr.), Valeria Garcia (Fr.), Zitlali Garcia (Fr.), Janelle Magallanes (Fr.), Ellah Mordinoia (Fr.), Kyla Stevens (Fr.), Lilliana Teng (Fr.) and Bennica Zhu (Fr.).
