The Ceres Sizzle 10-and-under travel softball team had a solid showing while competing at the NSA West Turlock Fastpitch Fiasco Tournament this past weekend at the Pedretti Sports Complex
Ceres finished second overall under head coach Jessica Lopez’s guidance.
The Sizzle compiled a 5-1 record at the five team tournament.
Ceres won both of its games in bracket play on Sunday.
The second-seeded Sizzle lost 12-2 to the top-seeded Central Valley Firecrackers in the finals.
Ceres cruised to a 10-1 victory over the third-seeded Westport Thunder in the semifinals.
The Sizzle earned the second seed after winning three of four games in pool play on Saturday.
Ceres opened the tournament with a 9-0 win versus the Coalinga Fire.
The Sizzle lost 8-0 to the Central Valley Firecrackers.
Ceres coasted to a 15-0 victory over the Atwater Flight.
The Sizzle closed out pool play with a 10-1 win against the Westport Thunder.
