When the mother of a 15-year-old Modesto boy was arrested in Ceres for stealing her car on Wednesday evening, July 25, she did not hesitate to demand he be arrested.

The boy was caught riding around Ceres with three other juveniles at 12:12 a.m. on July 25 by  Sgt. Vince Hooper, who was on patrol in the area of Don Pedro and Collins Road, spotted the 2010 gray Toyota Corolla blow through a stop sign onto northbound Collins. The car went up Collins for a short distance before it pulled over and the lights turned off. Sgt. Hooper arrested the unlicensed teen for felony auto theft and possession of stolen property.

The vehicle was released to the mother and the other occupants were picked up by family members.
