Ceres Police made the arrest of a 33-year-old Modesto man who was wanted on a warrant for arson on Friday evening.

Victor Nazar, 33, of Modesto had just walked into the AM/PM at 1700 Hatch Road at 9:15 p.m. when he was spotted by Officer Matt Vierra who recognized him from prior contacts and knew about the outstanding warrant. Officer Vierra contacted Nazar near the store and arrested him and booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
