The man who was found in south Modesto driving a stolen car managed to elude Ceres Police early Sunday morning.

At 1 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Jesus Salinas located an occupied stolen car at the Stop & Save at Hatch Road and Church Lane. The suspect tried to run away and got several blocks away where he struck a fence at Dover Avenue and Church Lane. The suspect ran into the darkness. Police searched for him but were unable to locate him.
