Boothe Road pedestrian crash still under investigation

Ceres Police Department's traffic unit is conducting a comprehensive investigation as to the cause of the Oct. 26 Boothe Road collision that badly injured pedestrian Amit Nath, 22, of Ceres.

Anyone who witnessed this or has information is encouraged to contact Traffic Officer Ortiz at 538-5678.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:33 p.m. in the 1500 block of Boothe Road. Joyce Bispo, 75, of Ceres, was driving a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser northbound on Boothe Road when she struck Nath in the northbound lane. Nath suffered major injuries and was transported to a Modesto hospital for treatment.

Neither Bispo or her passenger were injured. Police ruled out alcohol and drugs as a factor.
