Boyfriend arrested after stalking
Ceres Cop Car

A 24-year-old Modesto man was arrested Saturday after his ex-girlfriend called Ceres Police Department to report that he was trying to run her off the road.

The woman called police at 10:39 p.m. to report the actions of her ex-boyfriend, Eduardo Carranza. She was instructed to drive to the Ceres Police Department headquarters in downtown Ceres where Sergeant Jose Berber was waiting for her. When Carranza saw the police he fled in his white Infinity. Sgt. Berber chased after Carranza westbound on Whitmore Avenue, southbound on Blaker Road, westbound on Keyes Road and southbound on Crowslanding Road. Officers lost sight of the vehicle in the area of Cowan Avenue and Crowslanding Road. With the help of the Sheriff's Department helicopter, the Infinity was located in his backyard at 5330 Avenue B.

Carranza, who was on probation, was found hiding in between a washer and dryer covering himself with large pillows. He was booked for DUI, fleeing or evading a police officer, driving and for violating a domestic violence protective order.
