A loaded gun was removed from a suspect involved in a fight in the 2000 block of Pleasant Avenue on Saturday afternoon.

Citizens reported to police a fight at 4:25 p.m. involving a man armed and wearing a red shirt. A number of officers responded to the fight, which had moved closer to Central Avenue, and moved in to control the situation.

The man in the red shirt was detained. Rudy Michel, 31, of Modesto, was found with a loaded .25-caliber handgun in his right pants pocket. Michel was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, being a convicted felon in possession of a loaded concealed handgun and probation violation.

His brother, Alejandro Flores, 23, of Ceres, was also involved and was arrested on a probation violation.
