Police are hoping that clues from the public will lead to the arrest of the person who shot out a front window of Valley Balancing and Speed Equipment, located at 1900 Herndon Road.

The business was unoccupied at the time of the single shot to the building. Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jose Berber said the shooting is believed to be a random case of vandalism.

The shooting took place sometime between 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 and 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22.
