Car stop yields arrest for Sheriff's felony warrant

An early Monday vehicle stop made by a Ceres Police officer who spotted a vehicle code violation led to the arrest of a passenger wanted on a felony charge.

At 1:12 a.m., Officer Eric Souza stopped a silver-colored Honda Civic in the 1400 block of Mitchell Road and learned that one of the occupants, James Leroy Hill, 25, of Modesto, had a felony no bail Information & Belief warrant issued by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department. Hill was arrested and booked.
