A 2016 Honda Accord stolen at gunpoint from its owner in Ceres Friday evening turned up but no suspect has been arrested.

At 10:30 p.m., Officer Tony Scopesi was sent to Empire for a reported carjacking that occurred earlier on Richland and Nadine avenues. The victim said he was sitting in his 2016 Honda Accord parked on Richland Avenue waiting for a friend when a Hispanic male adult, about 20 to 25 years old and wearing a beanie pulled down to conceal part of his face approached the car.  The suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the owner and told him to “Get the f--- out of the car!” The victim got out the vehicle which was driven off by the thief.

The vehicle was later found abandoned by the California Highway Patrol. The suspect is still at large.
