A 40-year-old Ceres man was arrested Sunday evening when Ceres Police located the stolen car he was driving.

At approximately 9:01 p.m., Officer Tyler Wilson responded to a home in the 3800 block of Sherry Court where a silver-colored Mercedes CLK430 had been stolen. After a search for the car, at approximately 10 p.m. police located the Mercedes and conducted a high-risk stop in the 800 block of Latimer Avenue. Justin Bello, 40, of Ceres was removed from the vehicle at gunpoint and arrested.

Bello was on probation for auto theft and evading police in a vehicle. His new charges are auto theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and a probation violation. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
