A 50-year-old Ceres man was arrested for stalking and vandalism in Turlock in his hometown early Tuesday, Aug. 11.

Jose Gutierrez, 50, of Ceres, was spotted driving a green Honda Accord southbound on Mitchell Road near Service Road. Officer Adam Hall followed Gutierrez at 12:24 a.m. after seeing his car rims matched a Be On the Lookout issued by Turlock Police. Gutierrez parked in the 3700 block of Redwood Road and began walking away from the car. Officer Hall confirmed that Gutierrez was the same man wanted by Turlock Police.

While he was being booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, custodial deputies located approximately one gram of suspected methamphetamine on him. He faces charges of bringing a controlled substance into a jail in addition to the vandalism and stalking charges.
