A 35-year-old Ceres man was arrested for driving while intoxicated Tuesday evening, June 7 after he drifted and struck one parked car which was pushed into a second car.
The crash occurred at 9:10 p.m. at Cameron Park Drive and Kinser Road.
Officer Jesus Salinas did the investigation and learned that Eric Pena Arias, 35, of Ceres, was driving a brown Buick Century westbound on Kinser Road when he drifted toward the parked vehicles and struck one on the rear bumper. That caused a chain reaction and damage to the second car.
Arias appeared to be intoxicated from an alcoholic beverage. After a field sobriety test Arias was arrested for DUI. Arias later blew double the legal limit on the Breathalyzer.
