A 27-year-old Ceres man and a 24-year-old man from Manteca suffered non-life-threatening wounds when they were shot in the area of 11th and H streets in Modesto early Sunday.

A Turlock man, Christian Magana, 20, was arrested as the alleged shooter in the 1:50 a.m. crime.

Modesto Police say a large fight involving approximately 40 persons started inside Urbano California Bistro on H Street and spilled outside where it ramped up to a weapons fight.

Magana was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. A number of others were arrested for public drunkenness.

A third man, a 20-year-old Modestan, was injured and sent to the hospital although his injuries were not the result of gunfire.
