Drifter Tony Myers, 52, was jailed Monday, Dec. 22 for possession of a concealed knife and sheath.

Officer Carlos Quiroz was patrolling the Hatch Road shopping district at 8:41 p.m. when he saw Myers standing near a vehicle on the west side of Dollar Tree. Because Myers was looking around in a suspicious manner, the officer approached him. Myers reportedly walked away from the officer. Quiroz had prior contact with Myers and asked why he was standing near the vehicle. Myers said he was just walking by but since he was searchable for drugs and weapons, the officer decided to search him. Myers was carrying a five-inch double-edged knife and sheath under his jacket and sweatshirt.
