A 27-year-old Mexican national was arrested early Saturday, Dec. 22 after he crashed a car into a tree at the intersection of N. Central Avenue and Mauna Loa Drive.

Police were dispatched at 4:40 a.m. and found an intoxicated Gustavo Medina, 27, who had the strong odor of alcohol on his breath. A test of his breath showed he was nearly three times the legal limit. Medina was placed under arrest and booked for DUI.
