A 58-year-old Ceres man was arrested for drunken driving Saturday evening after he crashed into the center median and drove over the sidewalk in his Dodge pickup.

The incident occurred at 7:43 p.m. in the 1600 block of Mitchell Road.

James Luzinski, 58, of Ceres was determined to be intoxicated after failing a series of field sobriety tests. Breath samples showed that he was over double the legal limit of alcohol to drive.

Luzinski was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for DUI.
