A 24-year-old Modesto driver was arrested for DUI after being involved in a minor injury crash on Monday, May 7 on Whitmore Avenue just west of Crows Landing Road.

Officer Eric Souza responded to the 6:38 p.m. call and found a disabled Scion Xb and a Chevy Equinox blocking the eastbound lanes of Whitmore Avenue. Occupants of the Chevy had minor injuries.

Officer Souza believed that Max Khaoone, 24, of Modesto, the driver of the Scion to be intoxicated. Khaoone admitted drinking "like two beers." After underdoing sobriety tests and blowing 0.18 percent Blood Alcohol concentration - which is over twice the legal limit - Khaoone was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on a charge of DUI causing injury.
