A man who was sweating profusely while acting paranoid and claiming that others were out to kill him, was arrested Saturday as he sat in front of the Ceres Community Center, 2701 Fourth Street.

Police checked out Samuel Fernandez, 29, of Ceres, at 7:25 p.m. After a records check they learned that he was on probation and searchable for drugs. His pockets held a broken methamphetamine pipe and a baggie of methamphetamine.

Fernandez was arrested for possession of narcotics and violation of probation.
