DUI arrest made on Service Road
Ceres Cop Car

The decision to drive after drinking four beers resulted in Rodrigo Victor Mendoza being stopped, arrested and booked for DUI early Saturday morning.

At 12:21 a.m. Officer Vince Hooper was eastbound on Whitmore Avenue at Mitchell Road when he saw a green Ford weaving across lanes before turning southbound on Moore Road. The vehicle went off the road twice approaching Roeding Road. The officer stopped Mendoza's car as he pulled into the driveway at 3207 Service Road. Mendoza appeared impaired and admitted drinking four 12-ounce cans of beer, with the last being about an hour before. He was booked after a field sobriety test and a breath sample revealed a .20 percent blood alcohol content, over twice the legal limit.
