Five cars hit by drunken driver
Ceres Cop Car

A 34-year-old Modesto driver was arrested for drunken driving after he allegedly drove into five parked vehicles in the 1400 block of Grandview Avenue early Monday.

A person called 911 to report the crash at 2:15 a.m.

Officer Jeremy Caron arrived and located driver David Padilla and his silver 1992 Toyota Camry which hit the multiple vehicles. Caron immediately detected signs of alcohol impairment. Padilla was tasked with a series of field sobriety test which he completed consistent with someone being under the influence of alcohol. Padilla submitted to a preliminary breath sample with resulted in a .26 percent Blood Alcohol Content (BAC), over three times the legal limit. Padilla was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail.
