Running a stop sign led an officer to pull over a 58-year-old Grayson driver who displayed signs of intoxication Friday evening.
Samuel Torres was pulled over at 11:27 p.m. by Officer Kamalpreet Gill who saw the traffic violation near Herndon and Whitmore avenues. Torres appeared intoxicated and reeked of alcohol. Torres said he drank two 12-ounce cans of beer. After failing a field sobriety test, he blew into the Breathalyzer and registered an intoxication level of 0.22 percent, nearly three times the legal limit.
Torres was placed under arrest for DUI and also charged with driving without a license.
