At 9:23 p.m. Officer Brian Albonetti saw a vehicle leaving a known drug house at Ninth Street and Latimer Avenue. He attempted to stop a BMW X5 and the driver accelerated so the chase was on. The suspects fled southbound on South Ninth Street and then onto Highway 99 at speeds of up to 120 mph. The chase went onto the Mitchell Road exit and hit a stop sign, then continued and hit the curb. Two occupants including the driver got out and ran. The driver fled across all six lane of the freeway. The passenger ran up the embankment but was caught by canine Duke who latched onto the suspect and pulled him down so officers could arrest him.

Officer Albonetti gave a description of the suspect who fled and was later apprehended.

Four of the six occupants were released after being identified. The car was impounded. AMR was called for the subject with the bite. He was later transported to DMC to be medically cleared.

Adrian Lopez, 20, of Modesto, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest.

Agapito Cerva, 25, of Modesto, went to jail on charges of felony evasion and resisting arrest.
