A 41-year-old homeless man was arrested early Tuesday morning, August 20 on an arrest warrant for a prior weapons charge.

At 12:34 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza was patrolling the parking lot of the All Star Smoke Shop at 1460 Mitchell Road and encountered homeless persons setting up an encampment near the business. Officer Souza conducted a records check on all of the persons which revealed Jonathan Moore, 41, of Modesto had a felony warrant for a weapon violation. He was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
