A Boise, Idaho woman was arrested Monday afternoon after the car she was riding in was stopped and a Ceres Police officer discovered she was concealing methamphetamine.

At 2:17 p.m., Officer Charles Rushing stopped to check out three occupants of a suspicious looking vehicle in the 2600 block of Lawrence Street. When he conducted a records check on them, he learned one of them was on parole. When Officer Rushing informed the three that he was going to conduct a parole search, front-seat passenger Kathrin Burchardt, 29, of Boise, Idaho, became argumentative and appeared to be trying to hide something under her seat. She was removed from the car and a search revealed a small baggie of methamphetamine and a glass pipe. Burchardt admitted they belonged to her and she was booked for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
