A 29-year-old Ceres woman was arrested last week after she allegedly put dents in a vehicle after losing control while intoxicated.

Officer Trinidad Viramontes was sent to Holly Circle and Tenth Street at 10:54 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13 regarding a woman, wearing only a bra and pair of pants, yelling and cursing and banging on a door on Holly Circle. Mariela Castillo walked up to Officer Viramontes and yelled for him to arrest her. Castillo appeared intoxicated and was and placed in the back of his patrol car.

The resident at the house where Castillo was banging on the door spoke to Officer Viramontes and said there is an ongoing problem of her coming over intoxicated to yell and banging on the door. 

He also noted how she put several dents in the hood of his car by hitting it. Because the damage was estimated at over $1,000, she was placed under arrest and charged with felony vandalism.
