Kentucky warrant catches up to woman in Ceres
Ceres Cop Car

Ceres Police are unsure why a Kentucky woman they pulled over in Ceres was badly wanted by authorities in her home state. Lt. James Yandell said it's uncommon in California for contempt of court arrest warrants to be pursued so aggressively.

At 8:46 p.m. on Wednesday, Officer Justin Canatsy stopped a vehicle in the 2300 block of Whitmore Avenue and found Shareene Doty, 43, of Kentucky, had a felony contempt of court arrest warrant issued in her name by authorities in Kentucky.

She was booked on the warrant with authorities arranging to have her flown back east.
