Keyes teen arrested during ride in stolen car
Ceres Cop Car

Ceres Police recovered a silver-colored Honda Civic that had been stolen in Turlock and arrested a Keyes teenager who was in possession of it.

Officer Jesus Salinas was on patrol at 12:26 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10 in the 1600 block of Mitchell Road when he followed the stolen car into the Walmart parking lot. Additional officers arrived and a high-risk stop was conducted to remove driver Dustin Robinson, 18, of Keyes. Robinson told police he borrowed the car from a friend but did not disclose an identity, saying "that would be snitching."

Robinson was booked for vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Officers were unable to get in touch with the owner of the vehicle so it was towed and stored.
