Ceres Police have arrested a 64-year-old Ceres man after he was accused of repeatedly sexually molesting a six-year-old girl at a Ceres home.

Kenneth Robert Lafrenier was arrested Saturday after someone came forward to say he molested the girl four or five times over a multi-year period. At the time of the report Officer Graham sought an emergency temporary protective order which was granted by the court and expired on April 13. Officers were unable to locate Lafrenier at the time so the officer sought an arrest warrant for the suspect who was picked up the next day. He was booked for felony charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.

Ceres Police Detective Julio Amador is investigating the case. Police declined to comment on specifics of the acts or specific location where they allegedly occurred.
