Lois Way man arrested for drug sales

A 71-year-old Lois Way parolee was arrested on Monday evening, May 23 for selling drugs out of his house.

Officer Matt Berlier received a tip that Donald Bedoy 71, of Ceres, has been allegedly selling methamphetamine out of his home at 1706 Lois Way. Berlier conducted a records check of Bedoy which revealed he was on searchable probation. The office also obtained a prior booking photo of Bedoy to identify him while on patrol.

At 6 p.m., Berlier was westbound on Hatch Road stopped at the signal light at Herndon when Bedoy drove past him in a white Lexus. Berlier caught up and conducted a vehicle stop and search on Bedoy and his vehicle. The search revealed nothing criminal however when Bedoy was transported to his home, Officer Berlier conducted a probation search of the home and located black scale and a baggie with a large amount of white crystal methamphetamine hidden in a wall compartment. Bedoy denied the meth as being his and said he didn't know anything about it. Bedoy had $640 in various denominations in his wallet which was seized as evidence.

The substance was weighed and tested at the Police Department. The total weight was 194.5 grams and tested positive for methamphetamine.

Bedoy was charged with felony possession for sale of a controlled substance and booked into the Stanislaus County Jail.
