Man arrested for vandalizing former home
Ceres Cop Car

A Christmas Day act of vandalism sent a teenager to the County Jail after he was apprehended in southwest Ceres.

Police were called at 12:18 a.m. to the 1100 block of San Pedro Avenue for a case of vandalism. Police learned that Tyler Underwood, 18, of Ceres, was evicted from the residence a few months prior and had a history of returning to harass the new occupants. Police said he entered the property and broke a rear window with a broom stick. He was spotted walking at the corner of Granite Falls and Tranquil Lane where he was arrested for vandalism, violating probation and trespassing.

Underwood declined to state why he broke the window and continued to return to the house.
