A man who was found sleeping in a car parked in the red zone near the front of Food 4 Less at Hatch and Mitchell Thursday morning was found with drugs and arrested.

At 8:20 a.m., Officer Brian Chandler spotted the suspicious vehicle and stopped to check it out. Sleeping in the driver’s seat was Bryan Scoggin, 31, of Turlock. He was awakened and provided his name, which led to the discovery that Scoggin is on probation. Officer Scott Faure conducted a probation search of the vehicle while Officer Chandler searched Chandler.
