Man asleep in car arrested for warrants

Robert Flowers, 37, of Modesto, was arrested for warrants on Thursday morning, June 6 after a citizen reported him to be asleep in a car and concerned for him.

Ceres Police Officer Jon Blount was dispatched to the car at 7:19 a.m. at River Bend and Canyon drives. The officer awakened Flowers, who said that he had driven to the site after an argument with his wife and had fallen asleep. Flowers had a warrant issued for his arrest for vehicle theft, forgery and probation violations and was arrested.
