Police arrested a 38-year-old Modesto man on Dec. 3 after he violated a restraining order to stay away from his ex-girlfriend.

A citizen called police at 10:37 p.m. to report that a man was standing over a crying woman inside the parking lot of McDonald's in the 1300 block of Hatch Road. The woman had told Sergio Tostado de Luna, 38, of Modesto, to stop contacting her and her male friends but he allegedly would not leave her alone. Because he had an active restraining order, de Luna was arrested and charged with violating a restraining order.
