Kevin Richardson, 37, of Ceres, will answer in court to a charge of possession of methamphetamine after his Wednesday evening, April 23 arrest at Third and North streets.

Richardson was observed by an officer at 8:58 p.m. riding a bicycle in the wrong direction on Third Street in front of the Ceres Police Station. He was patted down for weapons and Officer Kiashira Ruiz felt an item in his coin pocket. Richardson said he didn't know what it was and gave consent to a search. Ruiz retrieved a plastic baggie containing methamphetamine. Richardson remarked that he thought he left it at home.
